Yes, currently you need Microsoft Word to use Explain Once. At this time, we support PC versions of Microsoft Word.

A single user license allows you to use the software on one computer. If you get a new computer, Explain Once can be reinstalled on the new computer. To use on multiple computers, at the same time, you will need to have multiple licenses.

Explain Once allows teams to share access to their explanations. This requires saving your XML file on a network drive or cloud provider such as Dropbox or OneDrive.

Once a person has created explanations, they can move the XML file to a shared location. Thereafter, other licensed users of Explain Once can gain access to the XML file.

This can be done by going to Select Trigger File in the Explain Once ribbon in Microsoft Word.

You should receive an activation code to the email your registered with in approximately 10-15 minutes. If you do not receive a code, reach out to us by navigating to the Contact page on our site.
